    Hi Caitlin,

These bullet points make it really easy to understand what you'll get with the tool. Great work.

I also love that you referred to Capterra and other companies for social proof :)

    Hey Austin,

Nice! I really like how you break down the features, then give the benefits. This is great for explaining the "technobabble"

    Hey Amit,

Maybe think about how you would reword the existing text on the page :)

Even if it's just a single headline or section.

    Hey Tim,

That's a good eye you have there!

Yes, a benefit driven headline would be great.

Also some nice curiousity hooks there.

    We always want to think:

What's the next action we want our audience to take?

Then we take them on a slippery slide of the cool features and benefits of the product, in an easy to understand way, so they are left compelled to clickety click that CTA.

    Nice work man :)

I'll assume the audience coming to this page are solution and product aware. They know what they want and most probably know ahrefs as an industry leader.

For this audience, they're looking for a solution right away, so I'll prioritise ATF section.

I'll take away the first half of the headline and leave the other one... I'll add a comment as social proof, and some badges/logos of companies that use ahrefs.

With people in this awareness level, they're only about seeing if you can be trusted to do the job. The headline should be very concise and benefit driven, the social proof to reduce doubt and increase trust, and the company seals to further frame ahrefs as the leader in the category.

If traffic is being directed to this page, I'll advise that the entire top section be taken out. Any unnecessary link that doesn't support the goal of the page should be taken out as well.

Then we test if the ATF section has any effect or not.

If it does, then that's a step in the right direction. I'll not advise a complete overhaul of the page, just these sectional agile tests to see if they have any impact on the entire page.

Note: This hypothesis should be taken with a grain of salt, however. I don't know what ahref's current conversion rate is within this funnel, or what the audience have said (in surveys) they want from their site audits.

Such an awesome tool! Lots and lots (and lots) of ways you could sell it. I would address the site builder trying to get his site to rank, and flog the benefits he or she is going to see when they start using ahfrefs. On this page that's something like:

See What Google Sees In Your Site With Site Audit

Site Audit is a powerful crawler that catalogs all the SEO relevant factors across your site and presents the results in easy to understand visuals.

Get penetrating insights into what's working for your site and what's hurting it. Think a 'done for you' SWOT analysis for your on-page SEO.

Then fix your site's issues one by one using our comprehensive to do lists and easy to follow instructions.

Getting your on-page SEO right is NOT luck - it's just science. That's why clients like Adobe, Shopify, NetFlix & Uber all trust ahrefs to help them.

I would LOVE to help with this!!

Have a nice weekend - Ash

I would change the word 'exhaustive'. Detailed, extensive, and many others should be tested. Exhaustive does not have a positive feeling. Am I going to be exhausted when I read the findings?

Where are the emotions? How is it going to help me? I see data on the features, how much the company makes, etc. but what about me the end-user? How will I benefit? Will I save time, make more money, find out data I can't get anywhere else?

People buy because of benefits and features are secondary. The features could be shown in a comparison chart with a competitor or in a bulleted list.

I would not attempt to rewrite the copy until I learned more about those that have purchased already. What language have they used in reviews, questions, and comments? Surveys are a great source to learn more about them and their reasons for choosing this purchase and also what was their biggest objection — what almost prevented them from the purchase. This gives you the chance to address that abjection in advance.

It's too busy with the blocky layout and text blocks. The info graphic video is nice but adds to the complexity of the website.

A lot  people wanting that service need a simpler explanation of the service.

    Use more bullet points.

Keep it fun short and simple.

First of all, audience.  With a name like ahrefs, only giant techno-geeks are going to know what that means, so I'm guessing that is your target audience: technically skilled, skewing younger and more male, things vs people, etc.

Here are some things I'd consider:

    1) The name - The market is too crowded for "SEO Site Audit" to resonate much anymore.  And beside that, your tool does much more than that.  I'd change the name to something along the lines of, "Site Nitro - AHref's 24/7/365 Automated Website Top Performance Toolbox"

    2) Intro Changes.  Something like:

"Site Nitro: Squeeze the most traffic possible out of your site.  Traffic, keywords, load time, broken links, missing descriptions, errors ... you name it, we're tracking it for you 24/7/354.  It's like having a top level web pro looking at your site all day, every day.

What can you do with those stats? Imagine that same top level web pro watching over your shoulder, teaching you how to make your site run like a Swiss clock.  We provide a complete library of how to fix each of these issues and make your website achieve the highest performance possible.

All included FREE with your subscription to Website Nitro.

And while our most expensive service is cheaper for a full year than hiring that web expert for 2 days, you can try it all for $1/day.  No limited functionality.  No nag windows.  No branding limitations.

You'll find our toolset is so useful, it's going to be like meth; once you start using it, you won't be able to quit. It'll become your secret to super website performance.  Tell everyone the amazing improvement to website results are 100% because of your skillz.  We won't tell.

$1 a day gets you 100% of the Site Nitro functionality for 7 days.  Start your trial now and see what all the buzz is about."

PS: I'd also change the levels from "Lite" and "Standard".

If you want to have a little fun with it and are using the Site Nitro naming, you might have the Pow! and BOOM! levels.  Whatever name you end up using would have similar, fun level naming possibilities.

Thought I'd come up with my version too.

You don’t need to be an SEO pro to fix your ranking

Site Audit finds possible SEO issues on desktop and mobile versions of your website so you can make tweaks necessary to dominate search results.

    Start crawling

Everything you need to know to rank better. For free.

Give us your URL and let Site Audit work its magic. It will scan your website for over 100 most common SEO issues related to:

Performance: slow pages, too-large CSS or HTML

HTML tags: missing, duplicate, or non-optimal length of title tags, meta descriptions, and H1 tags

Social tags: incomplete or missing Open Graph tags and Twitter cards

Content quality: low word counts, unconsolidated duplicate pages

    Localization: all issues with Hreflang

Incoming links: detecting orphan pages, issues with no-follow links

Outgoing links: detecting links to redirects, broken pages

Resources: issues with images, JavaScript, CSS

    External pages

    And more!

All of this will give you an overall SEO health score for your website. And if you need to improve it, we’ll tell you exactly what to do.

Oh! You’ll also get your data fully visualized in printable reports.

There’s more to Site Audit than pre-defined issues

Those of you who know SEO like the back of your hand can customize your dashboard by creating custom filters and adding custom issues that’ll help you see the bigger picture.

On top of this, Site Audit integrates with Ahref’s backlink and organic traffic metrics. No need to switch between different tabs of your browser — you’ll have all key metrics in one place.

Running on JavaScript? Not a problem. Site Audit will render JavaScript-generated content on any page, giving you the most accurate audit. You won’t miss a backlink ever again.

Schedule your crawls and let them do the work in the background

Site Audit is designed for your convenience. It runs in your browser, so you don’t have to install anything. Don’t worry about software updates and saving each crawl — they all happen automatically. Access your data anywhere, anytime, and track your progress between crawls.

Let Site Audit crawl even the biggest website at high speed, and move your website higher in search results.

    Start crawling

    1. <title>SEO Site Audit tool by Ahrefs<title>.

The current title doesn’t stand out in SERP. I would try to make it more interesting so that users could notice it and click on the Ahrefs site. I like the title that Semrush has, so I would change the current one to something like this:

    SEO Site Audit: Improve Your Website's Performance | Ahrefs (59 characters, less than 580px);

Site Audit: Find & Fix On-site Issues to Get Better Rankings (60 characters, less than 580px).

Recently SplitSignal published the results of several tests with the changes in title tags. Some unobvious changes led to organic traffic growth. That's why I think it's worth experimenting with the title tag.

    2. <h1>Site Audit<h1>

I like the heading and the text. Everything is simple and clear. Just what I want to see on the first screen. Also, it looks good on a mobile phone. No changes here.

    3. <h2>Get an exhaustive website analysis<h2>

I would change it to «Start the crawl and get a detailed report that highlights all possible errors», so users could easily understand that they get a full list of issues that need to be fixed.

    4. <h2>Check your website for 100+ pre-defined SEO issues<h2>

Here we see that there are a lot of SEO issues and Ahrefs tool detects them all. There is also a number in the heading. It looks good from the average user’s point of view. No changes here.

    5. <h2>Explore your data any way you want<h2>

Here we see how the tool can help professional SEO specialists. I would change the current heading to «Become a true technical SEO expert with the help of only one tool». Also, I would swap the heading with the next one to make two logical blocks. First block for average users:

    Get an exhaustive website analysis

Check your website for 100+ pre-defined SEO issues

    Track your progress with ease

    Second block for experienced users:

Explore your data any way you want

    Execute JavaScript while crawling

    Crawl a mobile website

    6. <h2>Track your progress with ease<h2>

I would change it to «Control your website’s performance with ease» and add the paragraph telling that you can easily log in your account wherever you are, spot the problem and fix it.

    7. <h2>Execute JavaScript while crawling<h2>

Not too much information. I would make it a subheading of «Become a true technical SEO expert with the help of only one tool» as it is about an advanced feature.

    8. <h2>Crawl a mobile website<h2>

Not too much information. I would make it a subheading of «Become a true technical SEO expert with the help of only one tool» as it is about an advanced feature.

    9. I’d like to see one more heading and paragraphs that sum up all the information. This information can be represented as infographics.

    10. I would also add a FAQ block in the end.

I would change the total format of this page and create an infographic.

The focus would be bold, clear messaging using keywords, long-tail keywords, and short phrases. My goal would be to make it easy to scan and easy to discern all the great ways you can help people.

I would use additional colors and images worked into the infographic in order to make it more appealing.

I would keep the main sections of your page in the infographic. However, I would create a table of contents at the top of the page and link to each section. That way you would make it super easy for a scanner to move right to what he may be looking for.

I would eliminate the screenshots (boring and difficult to read). Instead, I would create a link for each screenshot to a blog article that includes the screenshot and discusses the topic in-depth by creating an SEO-optimized blog article. After all, 77% of internet users read blogs!

In place of the screenshots, I would create very colorful bar graphs and pie charts that included the key information/core elements of the screenshots. East to read. Easy to get the message.

I would keep your opt-in above the fold. This is very good. But ... I would eliminate the paragraph. Again, reading it is too much work. Instead, I would use a larger bolder font here as well. Instead of the paragraph, I would really streamline your message.

    For example:

    Website Performance Issues?

    Start Trial.   Rank Better Now!

We're living in a time when people are super stressed and anxious. People want answers and help. Now. But they don't want to have to work for it by trying to figure out your message and what you have to offer.

And what you offer is truly AWESOME!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to share my opinions with you. Kathleen

Want to rank higher? Our site audit tool shows you how.

    LinkedIn MercedesBenz

Is your site operating at its best?

Broken links, mismatched headers, bad content...any number of things can drop your site’s SEO ranking.

But here’s the thing: these rankings change constantly. With a few simple tweaks, you could be back on Google’s first page.

Our site audit tool shows you exactly what’s not working (and how to fix it).

    Here’s how:

(I'd insert these bullet points as checkmarks)

Runs 100+ of the biggest SEO issues

Gives the site a sharable graphic “health scorecard”

Customizable features allow big sites to get faster results and data nerds to dig a little deeper

    Works with mobile sites

Produces graphs, charts, and other visuals that fit right into your next team presentation

Crawls while you sleep (with scheduling)

Doesn’t need software or special devices to run

See Results For 100+ SEO Problems

Get the numbers and stats for just about every potential SEO issue:

    Page speed

    HTML tags and meta descriptions

Missing social cards or broken links

Bad content (things like lower word counts and duplicate content)

    Links (incoming and outgoing)

    Images

    Why use Ahref?

There’s a lot of ways to find your site’s SEO number, but we’ve made it our business to be the best at it.

Our site audit tool is FREE to use for an unlimited number of verified* websites (up to 5,000 crawled pages per website per month)

You get it as part of  Ahrefs platform (AKA some of the most industry loved SEO tools on the web)

It integrates with our industry standard SEO metrics

Ready to hit page 1 of Google’s search results?

    CTA: Start your free trial

    Notes:

I basically just copy/pasted what Neville had for features, I’d have to do a better deep dive/chat with you all to come up some more.

The spacing came out weird on this when I copied it over, I'd fix it in real life!

This would obviously benefit from imagery and Gifs similar to what you have now, though I think they could be a little more aesthetically pleasing.

A comparison chart could be helpful here if there's a strong competitor

Brownie points to you all for making this the most fun pitch I’ve done all year :)

    My Suggestions:

Remove "see under the hood'', but keep the rest of the text.  No need for the jargon, when you can be clear, simple, and direct.

Remove "Site Audit" title, say something like "Improve Your Website Ranking" "Rank Higher With Site Audit" , "Want A Higher Website Ranking", "We Can Help Your Site Rank Higher",  "Let Us Help You Rank Higher",  "No more Guess Work, Ahrefs Ranks Your Site Higher",  "Tired of Playing Russian Roulette With Your Site Ranking?"

Just my two cents, hope it's helpful...
