Swipe:
This clever ad from 1967 showed the news was about to āchangeā by showing one side of Peter Jenningsā face in black & white, and the other in color.
This was around the time all TV stations starting moving to color and it was a big deal.
This ad can really catch attention because our brains are wired to look at other people, and this is showing Peter Jennings right in your face!
I really like the cleverness and simplicity of this ad.

Thought:
If you write one solid blog post it...
ā³ turns into an autoresponder email
ā³ turns into a newsletter snippet
ā³ turns into a YouTube script
ā³ turns into a portfolio piece
ā³ turns into a Twitter thread
ā³ turns into social posts
ā³ turns into an email
ā³ turns into an asset

Uplifting:
To ensure a safe writing environment in my office, I've employed a vicious bouncer to guard the door.
I dog sit this dog named Poe, and all day I'll just post stupid posts about him on social media š

Picture:
Appleās attention to detail is amazing. Look how the raindrops āsplashā on the warning box as the screen is moved:
Even when you move the box with your finger it will do that. That is 100% not necessary, but just shows an awesome attention to detail!

Interesting:
This is kind of interesting...by my dining room table there's this cinderblock wall.
Honestly it looks pretty good in real life.
I was advised to "tile over" the wall, and was skeptical, but look at this progression:
The original wall:
The tile....but it looks more like wood:
Tiling in progress over the cinder block:
Tiling wrapped around and almost done:
Wall finished!
All furnished!
I had no idea how this little project would turn out, and was pleasantly surprised by the results!

Drawing:
Here's a GIF I made in Canva for a post about a concept where you view everything as a spectrum....not a black or white issue.
It basically represents a concept where you can argue ANYTHING is good or bad, depending on the angle you look at it from.
For example:
Building a hospital can be good. But if you're an ant colony about to be bulldozed from your home to make way for the hospital, it can be viewed as bad.
Basically every single thing in the universe can be viewed relative to something else.
This was a kind of "meh" concept in the post, so I cut it and used it here instead!
It's the part of writing others never see: When you spend hours building a post, and in the end realize it just isn't that good š¬
