Thought:
Our member's board for August 2021 is humming!
So far there's been:
• 2 Writing Wednesday's
• 3 Office Hours
• 14 vids
• 454 posts
• 67,639 words
• 271,578 characters
I personally learn a ton each week from our forum and our Office Hours:

I know "building a community" has been a big topic lately, and I've learned a TON maintaining and building a community.
If there's enough interest I might add a whole module to the course on how to do this soon!
Uplifting:
This entire damn year I've been trying to hit a weight of ~165 lbs, you can see it in my goals:
Well 8 months later I never hit it 🙄
Always CLOSE, like 169 or 167, but never the goal weight.
I admitted failure and decided to re-enlist in my friend Adam Gilbert's company MyBodyTutor (this isn't a promo, just my experience).
I've done it twice before this, and got fit both times.
Here's the secret to this service:
--------------------------------------------------------
You just track your eating and exercise on an app....and the next day a real person reviews each thing and gives you feedback. THAT'S IT.
--------------------------------------------------------
Simply knowing someone is watching all my foot intake I've been making far better decisions.
I've started making kinda healthy lunches and dinners lately like this:
I've personally always worked better when someone is watching me, so I figured the same will happen with food!
Current weight: 173 lbs
165 lbs here we come!
Picture:
I'm a huge fan of the classic Before & After photo....or the "Good vs Bad" photo.
If you're trying to write out a concept describing something before & after, it's often easier to just SHOW it:

Good/Bad illustration for social login UI Design:

Before/After of a Craigslist listing:

Just SHOWING stuff is often better than WRITING stuff!
Interesting:
We're in the middle of re-doing the 76-email-long Copywriting Course autoresponder, and it's a beast to edit!
The goal is to blast people in the face with amazing emails for an entire year 😬

In the end it'll likely have ~100 emails.
So far I've had to:
• Change a ton of Kopywriting Kourse logos to Copywriting Course.
• Enlist the help of Dan (our head writer).
• Fully delete entire sets of emails.
• Have regular working sessions.
• Edit a vast number of pictures.
• Re-write many emails.
• Re-order emails.
I'm trying to make this autoresponder so damn good people will tell others to get on the email list just to see it.
Drawing:
There’s a Japanese term called Ikigai which means:
“Something that gives a person a sense of purpose."

• It can be making a fancy tea or coffee in the morning.
• It can be a daily walk around your neighborhood.
• It can be working out and general exercise.
• It can be making meals for loved ones.
• It can be daily watering of a plant.
• It can be taking care of a pet.
• It can be doing a meditation.
• It can be a walk, job, or run.
• It can be walking the dog.
• It can be doing prayers.
• It can be raking leaves.
• It can be riding a bike.
I enjoyed seeing other people's personal Ikigai's in the comments here!
Hope you enjoyed these little tidbits, have a happy Friday :)
Sincerely,
