    I did an interview with Nathan Barry

    where we talk about who is making money with newsletters. Also: 
    - Setting up “Creator Flywheels” (important!) 
    - ConvertKit marching towards a billion dollars 
    - Tectonic shifts in SEO in the last 3 years 
    - Best platforms with the best audiences

    Essay:

    I understand over zealous management killed off WeWork, but I am a bit saddened by the WeWork collapse because I've had WeWork offices all over the place and loved them.

    Lots of fond memories and connections created at WeWorks...

    WeWork's always represented to me:

    • A place to go with friends when you didn't want to go to a bar.
    • Work late nights.
    • Go to events.Get free food & drinks from said events 😬
    • Acted as a "3rd Place" where everyone knew your name.
    • They always were kept super clean.
    • Internet was always fast. Great bathrooms.
    • Good coffee. 

    Sucks they crashed and burned.

    Wow that year went fast!

    WeWork is fascinating and I echo the sentiment for co-working spaces.

    I always love to work from my office in a co-working space because I get so much joy from all the different people I meet and the friends I've made.

    Having a digital team and writing alot or being on Zoom means that actual human contact is so rewarding and also valuable 🙂

    I still have a very bad view of ConvertKit. Many years ago, they had a post that said something like if you were happy with the free version of MailChimp, then they didn't even want you as a customer because you didn't take your business seriously. When they first came out, they did a few things better than others. I think the only reason they're still here is their insane affiliate payouts. Every blogger in the world was pushing ConvertKit to their subscribers. ConvertKit (and Bluehost) was often at the top when bloggers would publish income reports. Not that you probably care, but I thought at least a reply might help your deliverability 🙂

    Your email is one of the few I look forward to.

    Thanks for the feedback Frank! I'm not sure if I would pay that much credit to an old blog post, I know Nathan Barry and many of the people at ConvertKit and I don't think this is a sentiment they share. 

    Anyhow, I personally use ConvertKit because IT IS easier than all the other email sending programs I've used!

    Do you know where the speak English Ad is from? I love the idea behind it but who are they targeting if it’s in English? Does the area have a general small level of English skills, or is it purposefully in a non-native language with the idea that people will ask other people what it says? Interesting for sure!
