I am a freelance copyeditor. My forte is academic editing, especially for researchers and students whose native language is not English. Years ago, I began working through Elance (now Upwork) and this is how I still look for clients, despite the fact that I created my own business several years ago (complete with website and everything!). I don't have much luck through Upwork these days, but I still haven't done anything to get my own editing business out there. I feel stuck about how to do that (which, in turn, makes me feel like a crappy person, so then I keep not doing anything about it...which then makes me feel crappier). Time to buck up, buttercup...and get it done! :)
