    Here's one way I'll optimize the page.

    Overview:

    Since I don't have access to any of your customer research or analytics, this review/recommendation is based on assumptions -the most notable of which is that the audience is solution to product-aware.

     

    The main objective of a landing page, like this one, is to take your target customer from his/her current level of awareness to very warm and ready to buy (or ready to start the free trial).

     

    This means every section from top to the bottom of the page should follow a hierarchy that coincides with that sequence of thought.

     

    That said, here are my recommendations for this page:

    Important Points

    Consider the audience's level of awareness. Start with a headline that focuses on your value proposition. This isn't clear on the current page.

     

    The prospect at this time is most likely comparing you to the competition.

     

    what makes you different from tools you're often compared to like SEMrush, Moz and Screaming Frog.

    Include logos of known businesses as well as of smaller ones that may not be as big as Netflix, but that your audience is more likely to identify with

    Include testimonials -lots of testimonials that are specific to the audit tool

    Every time you talk about a feature/benefit, add a testimonial related to that feature.

    Know the common objections of your ideal buyer, and add testimonials that address these objections

    Voice & Tone

    Compared to the Ahrefs' homepage, this one is too clinical/technical. I recommend keeping a conversational tone and messaging that’s more inclusive of non-SEO pros.

    The copy below is based on my very limited research -which means that I'm just guessing about what matters to your prospects.

    Here's my first (and most important) out of the 6 suggestions I have if I were to rewrite Ahrefs Site Audit page + (BONUS outline of remaining).

     

    1. I would approach every copy in each section with the purpose of giving value to the readers--instead of just pitching in that its the best tool out there.

     

    The aim here is to induce the consumption of information that educates and moves visitors until they take action.

     

    It's the most effective way  to not sound too salesy with a sales page.

     

    For example, instead of saying...

     

    "Ahrefs Site Audit - best tool to get higher ranking on Google"

     

    or the current one you have,

     

    "See under the hood of your website’s on-page SEO performance. Stop guessing and find out exactly what’s holding your website back from ranking."

     

    I would rephrase it so that it emphasizes and explains what it actually does + the benefit...

     

    "Fixing your website's SEO issues is the fastest and most reliable way to get more visitors from Google search."

     

    Notice that it isn't directly about Ahrefs but the solution it provides to the market's problem & desires.

     

    Now, here are the outline of my suggestions from 2 to 10 as promised ;)

     

    2. Educate them further how important solving their problem is while keeping it simple

     

    3. Compare & contrast with similar solutions (again, not specific brands) available that can also solve their problem

     

    4. Value stacking and also letting them know the pain of not taking action

     

    5. Answer the common objections they'd have such as not being a pro/ techy

     

    6. After we convince them that the solution is what they need only then we can pitch in Ahrefs as the one to save their day!

     

    Let me know your thoughts on this so we can talk about how we can proceed :)

    TL;DR:

    Make it valuable. Show how this tool is different than everything else. Show benefit.

    Make it simple. Change "this tool is difficult to use" copy and use more GIFs.

    Make it credible. Add testimonial sections and be specific.

    Make it consistent. Use the same design choices.
