What Do You Want To Do Next Year In 2024?

Just curious: What do you plan on building next year?

We're approaching 2024 in about a month....and I'm curious what everyone wants to build.

    Do you want to build...
An eCommerce store, a blog, a book, a social media presence, a website, a digital product, a retail store, an email campaign, a product to sell, a side income.....

I will read every single answer!
    Sincerely,
    Neville Medhora

P.S. An easy way to think about this:
Imagine fast-forwarding one year from today...it's almost the end of 2024. What do you want to have in your business or life?

A paid newsletter.  A low-priced newsletter to be more specific. The target market is large.

I just need to get the word out there.

It won't take me that long to get my newsletter going.

    Thanks Neville

I am enjoying your book, and I’m working on the AIDA formula.

This year I’ve built a weekly newsletter - super niche - it’s a trail running newsletter covering results and news in New Zealand and has some cool interactive parts like photo competition and readers sending in their “worst run ever” stories.

it’s got 770 free subs and 42 paid subs at the moment.(substack)

2024 I want to build up the paid community where the offer really is a no brainer as the value it gives you and saves you makes complete sense.

I’ve also started a trail running brand along side it to use as giveaways for the photo comp www.mountainskag.com. Currently using printful which isn’t sustainable as it’s all in USD and the NZD is very weak against it. I want to find local suppliers and push the e-commerce side, have already made a few sales but it is just covering the costs at this stage.

im helping 2 trail races with promotion as well at the moment so want to explore that as a niche to help with copy writing. There’s usually not much money in that niche but I can use it as experience to develop my copy writing portfolio

    TLDR

Continue to develop my paid newsletter

develop mountainskag into a sustainable e-commerce brand

build out copywriting portfolio and land some clients

Happy to be back in the group!  Plans for 2024 - 1) digital product to sell as side income. 2) Email campaign for my Business Dev role for EHS Software Company (I'm starting this now) I'll read through your cold email examples and put together my examples to post in the forum. Planning on being at the next office hours.

My passion is Health & Wellness - Mind , body & soul . At some point I'd like to grow my social media presence too. This could possibly tie into the digital product.  I have some ideas and examples.

However, my focus now is the email campaign for my main hustle. It's a Canadian based company breaking into the US market. I'm 1 of 3 BDRs, so really wanting to make an impact for the company and make some money 🙂  BIS has been around for 17 yrs and has sold globally. This year they really started to focus on US market.

My partner and I are about to close on acquiring our first house plan drafting company (in less than two weeks). We plan to do a roll-up of drafting and residential-focused architectural companies with software-enabled productivity (including AI enhancements for internal and external tools).

A social media presence. The "classic way" is broken (post 100x/month, build a WhatsApp engagement pod, do a newsletter, bla bla).

Will see if it's possible with less engagement.

Thanks for the personal inner examination! Neville.

For me, I'm building the following:
    # My freelance Copywriting Business(Monetization)

    # From January, in four-month time, a dropshipping/e-commerce store

    # In 8 months, a Digital marketing Agency/Training School

    # At the END of the year, commence a B.SC Digital Marketing Course.

    Thanks, May God Help, IJN.

I've actually been working towards rebuilding my e-commerce store for the past year, even though I haven't touched the site at all.

I need to raise funds and free up time to put into the business, so I've been renovating a house to put on the market. I will use some of the funds to build the site properly. In the meantime, all my stock is in storage (including 150 new designs). The renovations are now complete and the house is finally on the market, so we will hopefully find a buyer early in the new year.

In preparation, I am doing a FB advertising course and mapping out my funnel. I'm also completing an Amazon course over the break to hit the ground running with a 2-pronged attack in the new year.

I have spent the whole of this year setting myself up for next year. And I can't wait to sit and focus on the business. Not long now!

Make the shift to full time writing with a focus on direct response email copywriting and content that list builds for clients, and a niche site of my own
