What are you building next year?

Just curious: What do you plan on building next year?

We're approaching 2023 in about 1 month....and I'm curious what everyone wants to build.

    Do you want to build...
An eCommerce store, a blog, a book, a social media presence, a website, a digital product, a retail store, an email campaign, a product to sell, a side income.....

    Quick context first...
I'm a startup enthusiast from Barcelona (linkedin profile) that started reading your posts during the Neville Financial Blog days, when you displayed your bank account figures, shared interesting House of Rave learnings and ran crazy experiments (selling bottled water, sleeping in the streets, lottery tickets, etc.). I had so much fun reading your posts, and I found many of them very inspiring to try new things in a lean way, thank you!
Much later I kept reading your posts after you pivoted to the copywriting courses, and to this day I still find your content very interesting.

What I plan to build next year?
In my case I'm really engaged in my full-time job which I like a lot, but during next year I would like to help my wife start an Amazon FBA brand and launch 4-5 products.
On the other hand, sometime in the future I would like to start a B2B micro-saas (as a side hustle) when I find a good niche. I have the radar activated but nothing seems interesting enough so far to start it. If you have any ideas/suggestions in that direction, I'm all ears!

PS: If you plan to visit Barcelona, and want to hang out with locals I'll be happy to invite you+1 to a nice dinner with my group of startup-geek friends! 🙂

Hey JK seems like you've got your eye on a lot, I'd suggest planning out which of these is most feasible (and fun!) to go with in 2023!

A newsletter, which I have already started. I'm also working on building an edtech product next year with my mom. She's a teacher of almost thirty years and retires very soon. Last but not least is a podcast with a friend. I'm more of a co builder as opposed to the sole founder/builder.

Hey Joy, you might want to start learning how to do all that now, then start implementing in 2023. It often takes a long time to build a huge social media presence large enough to sustain a family!

Love that you ask these questions. I learn a lot about the art of email from you.

In a year – an audience of 50,000.

A second platform in addition to Twitter and newsletter.

A monetized product or service. Book deal or coaching offer.

I'm looking to build a freelance income. Web design and copywriting.
I know I shouldn't be splitting my time.
I know I am too old to be doing this.
And, I know I didn't have the biggest bank balance behind me to start this.

But, I bought my first "teach yourself copywriting book" 30 years ago and have been too afraid to try. Too afraid, despite having a first degree in psychology and a second in Public Relations. I know people pretty well and can write Okay-ish. So, I figured, it's now or never.

    I have made it now.

A very early Happy New Year to you and wish you much success in whatever you are building next year!
